WordPress and the US Government

I was strolling around on the internet last night when I came across a new WordPress website. This alone should not be a startling fact as everyday THOUSANDS of new sites are being launched with WordPress.

No, the interesting fact about this is that the site belongs to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform – http://oversight.house.gov/.

Washington, D.C., is never known for being nimble and quick on its feet! The fact that an organization such as this decided to go with WordPress becuase it is

California’s Rep. Darrell Issa initially sent out a tweet (on Twitter!), saying that WordPress is, “rare for govt sites, to support fast improvements in response to your feedback.”

Let’s see if this is a new trend!
